Adoption App Team (Experienced volunteers only for now)

• Run adoption applications.

• Call references (personal and veterinarian)

• Conduct home visits.

 

Event Volunteers Team

• Assist event coordinators with organizing and running adoption and fundraising events

• Work with the Fundraising/Donation Acquisition Team to obtain prize donations for events

• Assist with recruiting fosters to bring dogs/cats to adoption events

• Attend events and help with foster dogs/cats

• Answer questions about the rescue for potential volunteers

• Answer questions about the animals to potential adopters

 

Foster App Volunteers Team (Experienced volunteers only for now)

• Run adoption applications.

• Call references (personal and veterinarian)

• Conduct home visits.

 

Fundraising/Donation Acquisition Team

• Come up with list of potential businesses to request donations from

• Reach out to businesses and/or individuals and request prize donations

• Create and implement plans for monetary donation drives, monthly/annual donations, etc

 

House Volunteers Team

• Help with keeping the Rescue House organized

• Help with cleaning (floors, bathrooms, etc)

• Assist with preparing for events, moving and organizing things, decorating, etc

• Assist Donation Coordinator with putting donations away

 

Intake Team

• Load crates on bus Friday evening for Saturday Transport

• Put together adoption bags for incoming foster dogs

• Scoop Dewormer meds into baggies according to sizes

• Place ID tags on martingale collars

• Put together adoption folders with handouts, adoption contracts, etc

• Greet new fosters and assist with items they need for new fosters

• Help clean off the bus and clean/organize crates after transport

 

Maintenance Team

• Lawn care / Snow Removal

• Clean / Organize Sheds

• Maintain Grounds

• Keep outdoor areas clean & organized

• Take trash cans to curb on Tuesday evenings

• Handyman tasks indoors – coordinate contractors when needed

Operations Team (General tasks)

• Combination of remote and in-person tasks as needed

• Projects to assist board members with operational tasks

• Assist with organizing smaller projects such as blanket-making events

• Filing, printing, copying, and general office tasks

• Phone calls

 

Rescue House Cat Care Team

• Partner with an experienced volunteer to feed, care for, and socialize rescue kitties staying at the rescue house.

• AM and PM shifts daily, would work around current assigned shift volunteer’s schedule

• May take on kitty care independently once established/trained.

• Help transport rescue house kitties to/from vet appointments as needed

 

Transport Volunteers Team

• Drive the PAP Bus for Saturday Intakes.

• Load incoming dogs from other transports onto the bus and bring them back to the rescue house to their new fosters.

• Drive shorter trips for Veterinarian appts.

 

Volunteer Committee Team

• Call new volunteers to welcome them to the team!

• Email new volunteers an info sheet and a link to a survey form.

• Conduct Zoom calls bi-weekly to talk about volunteering for the rescue and answer questions.

• Assist with organizing volunteer events and recruiting volunteers to attend.
